Football team has 2 coaching vacancies to fill (RB & TE) and the late signing day is coming up in about a month.(Feb 5th)

I’m expecting the RB spot will get filled soon. My money is on Ray Pickering still.

I’m suspicious the TE job will be a promote from within hire with Will Heck getting the increased responsibilities, which would also open an offensive quality control position.

Should continue to be another active month of offseason roster building activity.

Good win last night. Bray’s best win all year IMO. Gulbranson is flawed, but he’s the best QB on the roster, which I tried to explain from day 1. There’s a huge different between a 6.4 ypa and 8.6 ypa. He can get the ball downfield better and more consistently, and also better on throws like deep outs, etc. Just more a pro arm than McCoy. Get your rushing from your running backs, in this situation. It’s just better. We’d probably have an extra two wins if Gulbranson was QB all year.

Anyway, now the Beavs are in a position to possibly get a bowl game. This would be a small victory in an otherwise brutal season. Of course, it would require beating a 10-1 team, ranked 12th in the country, on their home turf. Seems like at best a 4 sigma event. Lol. But, as Jim Carey said, “You’re telling me there’s a chance”.

This one could be even worse than the Oregon score. The Beavs are mentally shot, whereas in week 3 they still had some confidence.
